How to Install and Use MOGRT Files in Premiere Pro (2024)

What is a .mogrt File?

A MOGRT (Motion Graphics Template) is an After Effects motion graphic packaged for easy customization directly inside Adobe Premiere Pro without needing to open After Effects.

Step 1: Open the Essential Graphics Panel

In Adobe Premiere Pro, go to the top menu and select Window > Essential Graphics. The Essential Graphics workspace will appear on the right side of your interface.

Step 2: Import the .mogrt Template

There are two fast ways to import your template:

• Single Template: Click the small "Install Motion Graphics Template" icon (the plus sign in a square) at the bottom-right corner of the Essential Graphics panel and select your downloaded .mogrt file.
• Bulk Import: If you downloaded multiple templates, drag and drop all .mogrt files directly from your file manager into the Essential Graphics browse panel.

Step 3: Add to Timeline and Customize

Drag the template from the Essential Graphics panel onto your video track on the timeline. Click on the graphic clip to open the Edit tab in Essential Graphics. Here you can edit:

• Text and subtitles
• Font style and size
• Colors, gradients, and brand assets
• Lower third position, scale, and duration
